The IELTS result for computer-based test are available within 3 to 5 days from the test date. IDP releases IELTS paper-based result online at 12:00 am GMT on the 13th day after the IELTS test date. How Long Can I Get My IELTS Result 2024?
The IELTS results for the pen and paper test are announced at 12:00 am IST on the 13th day after taking the test. If the applicant has taken a computer-based IELTS test, the IDP IELTS exam result is declared within 3–5 days from the IELTS exam date.

IELTS Result EOR
Test-takers who are not satisfied with their IELTS scores can apply for Enquiry on Results (EOR). Candidates can apply for their test remark on the complete IELTS test or any one or more components of the test. Students applying for an EOR can fill out the EOR application form online by paying an additional IELTS fee. If the candidate's score gets changed to a higher band score, a full refund of the EOR fee will be credited to their respective bank accounts.

How to Calculate IDP IELTS Exam Score?
IELTS scores are calculated as band scores on a scale from 1 being the lowest to 9 being the highest. Applicants are awarded a band score from 1 to 9 for each section of the exam– Listening, Reading, Writing, and IELTS Speaking. The overall IELTS band score is calculated as an average of all four band scores for individual test sections.
Listening and Reading: The IELTS Listening and IELTS Reading section contains 40 questions. Each correct answer is awarded one mark, hence the maximum raw score one can achieve is 40. A band score ranging from band 1 to band 9 is then awarded based on the applicant’s raw score.
Writing: The IELTS Writing test band scores depend on how an examiner will assess your Writing Task 1 and Writing Task 2 responses.
Speaking: The IELTS Speaking band scores are based on the interview taken by an examiner during the Speaking test.

Is 7-band a good score in IELTS?
Yes, a 7-band score is a good score in IELTS for study-abroad aspirants. Test takers who get a 7-band score are considered to have a good command of the English language. With a 7-band score candidates can easily accepted by most of the top universities and institutions for education and professional aspects.
Is 6.5-band a good score in IELTS?
Yes, a 6.5 in IELTS is considered competent for admission to top universities in the world. Candidates who get a 6.5-band score are considered to have a moderate command of the English language. Candidates scoring a 6.5-band score can handle familiar situations and basic communication effectively.
IELTS Test Report Form
The IELTS TRF full form is the Test Report form. The IDP IELTS result TRF download provides the individual and overall band scores of each of the sections including IELTS listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Candidates who have appeared for the IELTS exam can also be awarded half-band scores indicating strong performance within a specific band. One copy of the test report form is provided to each candidate and this should be kept safe.
The IDP IELTS result TRF is sent to candidates through courier or speed post within 10 days from the IELTS results declaration day. They will be provided with the shipment tracking number on their registered mobile number to track the delivery of the same.

IELTS Test Report Forms for Institutions
Five institutions/universities listed by the candidate in their IELTS registration form will receive copies of TRF. There are no extra charges levied for sending the IELTS IDP result to these five colleges/universities. Candidates can pay and request for additional IELTS results downloads (TRFs) to be sent to the university or institutes anytime within two years.
How to send IELTS results to universities?
Candidates are permitted to send IELTS scores cards electronically to five universities of their choice, without any additional cost. Candidates can choose the universities at the time of registration. The majority of English-speaking countries accept IELTS results for giving visas to students, however, the minimum requirement differs from country to country.
How to Send IELTS Scores to Universities Abroad?
When doing IELTS registration, test takers are given the option to choose up to five universities of their choice to send their IELTS exam result.
They will be required to fill in the details of their preferred universities for IDP IELTS India to send their IELTS scores.
Once the IELTS results are out, IDP India will send the applicant’s scores to the chosen universities.
Candidates can also opt to send hard copies of their IELTS results to more than 5 institutes by paying an additional fee as specified by the authorities.
To send their IDP IELTS result TRF via courier to international destinations, candidates also need to pay the courier charges.

The difficulty of the IELTS General Training and Academic modules depends on individual strengths and backgrounds. Generally, if you are more comfortable with everyday English and practical tasks, you might find the General Training module easier. Yes, if you are not happy with your scores, you can apply for a re-evaluation of your IELTS results . Also, if you think there is a need for improvement in your band score, you can reach out to your IELTS test centre . If you did not achieve the desired IELTS scores , you can also apply to retake the test whenever you feel prepared.
However, the rechecking fee for IDP IELTS in India is Rs. 17,000, and candidates can only apply for rechecking of one section, which is called IELTS OSR (One Skill Retake). Test takers need to submit the 'Enquiry on Results Form' (EOR Form) for sending the re-marking request for the IELTS Academic test.
